The oil spill incident occurred on 05/07/2017 and it was a sabotage spill. Containment, recovery and evacuation was carried out by Giolee Global Resources Ltd from for the client, . The project execution process involved containment, recovery, Cutting and raking of oily debris, flushing, evacuation of recovered crude and general housekeeping of the work area. The site was certified by regulators and closed out by the client.
